Jim Gilmore suspends campaign
Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore has decided to suspend his campaign.
Gilmore’s decision, reported by the Washington Examiner on Friday, ends a campaign that failed to gain any traction at all, even among some of the lowest-polling candidates among the GOP primary when it was at its largest.

Gilmore loaned his campaign $32K just five weeks ago
Jim Gilmore in late 2015 loaned more than $80,000 of his personal wealth to his ultra-long-shot presidential race, including $32,000 on the last day of the year.
Throughout 2015, his campaign dipped into his personal funds for $124,075 in loans, according to FEC filings.

Things did not go so well for former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore at the Iowa Caucuses Tuesday.
According to results on Politico and USA Today, the GOP candidate received a total of 12 votes among people who attended the caucuses. That amounts to about 0.01 percent of the results.

The Iowa caucuses are over and done, and now the candidates (most of them, at least) are moving on to New Hampshire. Two candidates, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Maryland Gov.
